Normal Equipment: Khel carries a staff, his scimitar *see background for more information on this and its limitations* and a couple of small knives and daggers. Various pouches contain feathers, powders, herbs and such like for his spells.
Appearance: Khel is right around 100 years old and stands about 6' tall, he is slight, for all that he is tall, weighing barely 150 pounds. He has pale brown hair that he keeps tied out of his face with a simple leather thong and milky-white eyes. Khel often dresses in simple browns and greens, and will sometimes don a gray garment, if the situation warrants. He is always barefoot.
Background: Khelarhel Starkeeper de Danann is the son of Serzen Starkeeper ar Diluthium and Sillesse Rosebar, their only child. Son of such a renowned magus, much was expected of young Khel, but he found the call of the woodlands too much to resist and, despite his father's wishes, took up the study of the Order. Because of his heritage, he is not permitted to attain the highest ranks of the Order, but he is content to serve the purpose of the Source regardless.
Khel's eyes were, at one time, a deep green that saw everything, hidden or not, but after the death of his mother and his own desparate attempts to reclaim her spirit to the world of the living, his sight was taken from him. He has learned to sense things through his contact with the earth, and can sometimes use the eyes of his friend Tuatha, a falcon that spends a great deal of time on Khel's shoulder.
Role-playing Tips: Khel is soft-spoken and when he does speak, it is almost always to instruct or to comfort those who need it. His only desire is to help as best he can, and to entertain. Unlike his father the story-teller, Khel prefers music to relax the mind. His flute is able to play on its own, allowing him to add his strong baritone voice to the tunes he commands with his mind. He tries not to make an issue of his blindness, but does point it out sometimes, though it is usually only to make light of the situation.
